This Policy applies to all users of the MOVO application, including:

  • passengers (end customers ordering rides)
  • drivers providing transportation services
  • dispatchers and administrative staff using the MOVO platform

MOVO d.o.o. acts as the Data Controller for all personal data collected through the MOVO system, and is responsible for the processing and storage of such data in compliance with applicable laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users within the European Union, as well as the relevant data protection regulations of the Republic of Serbia.

DATA WE COLLECT

We may collect and process the following categories of personal data through the MOVO application and related services:

  1. Passenger Data:
  • full name
  • phone number
  • email address (if provided)
  • pick-up location and destination address
  • ride history
  1. Driver Data:
  • full name
  • phone number
  • driver’s license number
  • vehicle registration/license plate number
  • real-time geolocation data

Real-time geolocation data is used solely to enable ride dispatching, navigation, and to allow passengers to track the arrival of their driver.

  1. Technical Data:
  • IP address
  • device type and operating system
  • application version

This data is necessary in order to provide you with a functional, secure, and efficient taxi booking service, to ensure reliable dispatching, accurate billing, and an overall improved user experience

  1. Additional Operational and Safety Data

To improve service efficiency and ensure the safety of both passengers and drivers, the MOVO application may collect and process additional operational data during the use of the platform.

Frequently Used Addresses

The application may allow passengers to save frequently used addresses (for example: home, work, or other favorite destinations).

This information is stored only to simplify future ride requests and improve the user experience by enabling faster ride ordering.

Ride Start Verification (Driver Safety Photo)

In certain cases, the application may require drivers to take a photo at the start of a ride or during the start of their working session.

This measure is used strictly for safety, identity verification, and fraud prevention purposes.

The photo may be temporarily stored and processed to confirm that the authorized driver is operating the vehicle and to enhance the overall safety of the platform.

Such images are used solely for operational and security purposes and are not used for facial recognition, biometric identification, or any unrelated processing.

Access to this data is strictly limited to authorized personnel or automated security systems responsible for maintaining the safety and integrity of the MOVO platform.

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

We use the personal data collected exclusively for the following purposes:

  • phone number
  • email address (if provided)
  • pick-up location and destination address
  • ride history
  • to prevent misuse, fraud, or unauthorized use of the platform
  • to comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations

Your personal data will not be used for any other purpose without your explicit consent, except where required by law.

Our legal basis for processing your personal data is primarily the performance of the contract (providing transportation services), our legitimate interests (fraud prevention, service improvement), and compliance with legal obligations.

HOW WE SHARE YOUR DATA

  • Your name, pickup location, destination, and contact phone number may be shared with drivers in order to fulfill your ride requests.

  • If applicable, to process your payments securely and in compliance with financial regulations.

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data during the entire retention period and will limit access strictly to personnel or partners who need to process the data for legitimate business or legal reasons.Security photos used for driver verification may be retained only for a limited period necessary to investigate potential safety incidents or misuse of the platform.

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. To safeguard your data, we implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of personal data.
